Our many packed meat cook was a one time event 30 years ago but I still remember it. It was better than delicious, it was tongue knocking your teeth out good. <<I don't know how they cooked it - probably roasted - but it sure was good.>> For the most part I've found pheasant on the dry side. All in all I'd rather have chicken or rabbit. You can't domesticate a pheasant. Get them from chicks, raise them in a cage and they still are wild. Of course they still don't have the wild taste they get from eating grubs, weed seeds and grains.
