Been a long time since I've seen snow. Our peach trees just started blossoming a few days ago. Ain't spring grand?

To be sure, I do miss seeing snow fall now and then. I remember once when a friend and I took a hike around Multnomah Falls. We got to the parking lot (which is very near the freeway) and knew that we'd be seeing at least a little snow. Then we climbed up the trail to the top of the falls, which brought us about 600 feet higher in elevation. Then we started into the forest and the snow kept falling and got deeper and deeper, and I remember very clearly how utterly silent the forest was, how fresh everything seemed with the new snow, and how we finally had to turn back because the snow was too deep.

Yes, MD, I envy you folks some times. But only some times... :-)

Hi MD,
Snow?
Snow you say?
Oh yeah, we got snow.
We have lots and lots of it.
Hell, every day seems to bring a fresh 8+ inches.
