Again, I do not agree with the French at the moment, but the idea that the world would be better off without them is ludicrous. Don't forget your history when you bash this country. Save your anger for the backward countries of the Arab world which only survive because we pay them for oil. 1. France is a DEMOCRACY. People can practice whatever religion they want & women don't have to wear veils. 2. We do billions of $ in trade with them every year, profitable for both countries. Capitalism-remember? 3. Without the French, we would not have won our independence from the British. 4. Many Americans died fighting for & with the French in WW1, WW2(the French resistance was instrumental in weakening the Nazis in the months leading to D-Day), The Gulf War.
