The Chinese are part of the world economy in a big way, and the Government is run by pragmatists -- including pragmatists that chose to kill hundreds of students who wanted to accelerate "democracy" and pragmatists that crushed opposition in Tibet. China is likely to turn a blind eye on Iraq - and they will expect the same from us when they extort Taiwan.
