Could members of AQ be there....Senior ones? Perhaps many of them? I don't think they'd consider it a secure location, especially with a US operation imminent and the long history of Philippine government cooperation with (some would say subservience to) the US. Indonesia, where the Muslim population is much larger and is in control of the Government, and where large sectors of the country and the Government have Islamist sympathies, would be a much more practical hideout.
