My view is that the Middle East will have a much more influence on the share price of GE's MYNG than recent & current information obtained from GE directly. . My time frame is the USA invasion of Iraq, and while the responsibility for any buy/hold/sell rests on the person whom placed "the bet," i'am gonna speculate that any of those that obtained "cheap" shares, and these last days, sold them to "take profits" in fact, were in design more of a reduction of risk based on the unknowable future of GE, will in a few weeks see that they could have obtained huge returns like x100 what they just did if they waited for the "foreign affairs" aspect of GE to "come home to roost." . There are very few safe bets like the Middle East situation will obtain "the gates of hell being opened" very very soon, and last a lifetime for us. . One has to remind oneself that "Too much of a good thing can have harmful results." - fat, sugar, oil... (ie) cheese cake :o) and GE's property is the sovereign land NOT of Canada or USA, and if its dirt, aka the gold wealth, become "too" valuable, then the populace of that nation (Brazil?) will demand full ownership and kick out foreigners that would steal & rape them, money wise. . Now its "need to know stuff," but the internals of Russia are keep secret. as usual, and it all for their current survival and a current opportunity to "win big" as in a world power of economy & military to surpass the United States in 5 -10 years with a combination that the USA get weaker and Russia gets stronger. . The nation where GE has mining rights could lose them overnight if the good news is too good, as in price of gold goes over USD$1,000.00/ounce and the gold contained in the dirt is high quality & high amounts, then overnight GE is kicked out and Russia enters with a better packaged deal for the nation the dirt is in. . Those that reference China as a future power need a more simpler and relaxed view that sees the world as a chess game that has very few pieces that can determine the games outcome. - USA - Russia - China To put it in near zero details Russia has no problem with the United States remaining strong both in economy & military, and eventhought the USA is going downhill, Russia will help the USA from falling too much, and this fits into the Russian objective to be equal or better than the USA in both economy & military in 5 -10 years for one extremely simple single reason. Russia does not want China to obtain a superpower economy since that means they have a good 'Income" that allows China to build and have and keep a military equal to a superpower. (or) Russia will help the United Staes in secret in these next years, and in return in secret China's economic progress will be destroyed. Note: nuclear type weapons will undergo a radical change later. (or) nations having an A-bomb or H-bomb etc will change... now, to change the topic any comments for next week(s)investorshub.com ... Israel borders Jordan borders Iraq with that eastern part of Iraq touching Jordan having north touches Syria, and south touches Saudi Arabia. Focus: The land of Iraq that touches Jordan. (now) If the United States invades Iraq and "takes it over" with its military presents being that the Iraq government is null & voided being that the United States military replaces its government. Might Israel one second after the United States attacks Iraq decide not to wait until the first missile(s) arrive from Iraq before Israel enters the war either on the side of the USA, or might Israel enter the war independent of the United States and do so for its own protection, knowing this time the missiles very likely will contain either chemical or biological war heads, and thusly Israel will strike first the areas of Iraq nearest Israel to destroy all Iraq weapons. Seems logical to me, but i wonder if done, would Israel place its troops on that Iraq land and declare it to be now the property of Israel ? Guess there are many questions to ask if so, as in what is that land? empty desert? and how could Israel defend it without a road or air space available to travel. Could Israel allow Palestinians to settle it as a homeland? doug
