Garden toolmaker Acorn Products (ACRN) said it will turn into a private company via a merger with Acorn Merger Corp. The deal puts executives and Oaktree Capital Management in control of the company's common stock, subject to regulatory approval. Acorn said shareholders who do not have stakes in Acorn Merger Corp. will receive $3.50 per share. Acorn shares closed Friday at $3.03.
