Ed, I agree with everything you just said. Why am I optimistic on bpi. Well, development wise I am about as pissed off as possible. On the "potential" side, bpi works in vivo. IMO you would be dead without it. Or alternately you might have CF, arthritis, or some other maiming condition without it. IMO. Proving that bpi-21 works to fda satisfaction is another matter. The immune system is complex, bpi is not the only player and figuring out how to use correctly use bpi is like giving a nuKlear device to a neanderthaL AND TELLING HIM IN ENGLISH TO LET IT RIP. IMO will they figure out how to use bpi, yes. Will it be useful, very much so. Will xoma earn any benefit ????????
IMO bpi is a no-brainer, when we get the brains to use it> that I cant say. We have entrusted bpi-21 to baxter. They throughly unimpress me so far. Xoma for their part hasnt exactly pushed to hard, have they. Yes, I dream someday, somebody with some brainpower will wakeup and have the ability to do something here. That is my eternal hope.
Standard K dislaimers, all IMO, no facts, and i know how to spell nukleer, I just dont want to get bitten by karnevor.
