My experience with the French has been they are arrogant...though i have been told by some that spent time in France they're just like you and me...but i've found in the places i've spent time at that most people are pretty cool if you don't count politicians.

are you saying that the French don't think that they are better than everyone else? or the Canadians? or the British?

With respect to the French - In Stephen Ambrose's book, "Band of Brothers," the comment is made that even 50+ years ago, American GI's though the French were arrogant, self-centerd and rude.

Amazing how Americans have perpetuated these unfair biases about folks who live outside our borders, isn't it?

Hmmmmm. Could it be there is something to this long-held, ignorant and biased attitude Americans have?
