May I give my 2 cents about the Americans, as a European living in NA for 32 years.

I believe the Americans are by far the most friendliest of all nations I have traveled to ( and I have been to a lot of country , even to Africa and the Arab peninsula)Besides of New England, there is a childlike naivity, BUT lately, ever since 9/11 I feel a paranoia and a kind of new found arrogance (( we are invincable, we are the biggest, richest nation in the world, don't oppose us)
BUT above all a very disturbing nationalism, which reminds me of some of the past one found in europe, not becoming at all to the USA
