you can have one or the other. If we are so stupid, relative to the rest of the world as you have implied, then it would be very difficult to victimize those people. Especially since we would have no understanding of their culture or politics from where we could get a firm hold on identifying which repressive (or is it oppressive?) regimes to sponsor.

So what are we, stupid or victimizers? And if we are victimizers, do those countries have any participation in the process or is it just pure american brutality that causes those human tragedies?

I should point out that I have posted many times that I am against meddling in the affairs of other nations. I believe in international relations based on freemarket principles. Therefore you can assume that I don't approve of much US foreign policy. However, I am also not blind to the fact that most of these countries that object to U.S. involvement in their affairs still manage to cash their foreign aid checks from the US and still enjoy the benefits of doing trade with the US. My point again is that, if they are victims, then they are willing victims. An objective look at the situation would acknowledge that the situation isn't as one sided as the international community presents.

Does that justify French support of a mass murderer? A simple yes or no will do.
