Brinker made a mistake in his answer

You're right that he blew the answer. He tried to put the best spin that he could and screwed up in the process. He used 30% of 65% and got 9-1/2%!!!

Actually Bob, it's 19-1/2% and that doesn't describe the poor schmucks who really believed in you and went full hog to 50% of 100% for half their portfolio.

The poor schmuck's who really trusted Bob don't even get counted these days. It makes you wonder if Brinker routinely drops digits when it helps sell his story.

A 50:50 portfolio is an admission you can't time the market

This is a point I've tried to make before. A 50:50 allocation is complete confusion about the market. With Brinker's 65:35 allocation he was only 30% confident in his timing.

That's pretty lousy for someone who portrays himself as king marketimer.
