John, I'll persevere with the metaphors because sport is a civilized enjoyment of atavistic tribal territoriality. Sport is inherently a zero sum game of winner and loser. Capitalism is not. There is no limit to wealth. It is not a zero sum game.

In capitalism, there is competition, and yes, each customer can only be won by one team or the other so there are elements of zero-sum. But the losers don't just end up on the scrap heap, converted to cannibalistic meal time or simply exterminated. They are redeployed into more useful activities.

Yes, I've watched some WWF. Not recently though. It's not entertainment which appeals to me other than to see what crowds of people enjoy seeing and to try to understand what they enjoy about it.
