It's economic insurance as much as defence spending. Turkish economy will hit the skids when we invade. A war kills their tourism, exports, imports, cost base in general. They need insurance against that. even if they were in favor of a war, they would need the cash.

We are the target and will be and have been for many years ...

Very few people seem to understand there is a beginning of
a rush to arm themselves and go nuclear , in many of these
states now . The technology is there to be had .

Time to nip it in the bud, now ...(and Europe has a long history of
shoving it's head up it's own ass)

There are even bigger issues than oil here .
