As for "holier-than-thou attitude" I'd have to say its much more prevalent in the U.S. hard right than it is with the French

Yeah, actually. The man has been a continuing source of trouble in that region for years. In the case of Khaddafi, a few F-16s flying over and dropping a few bombs was sufficient to shut up the "Libya Lip". Saddam is much much denser, apparently. It is going to take some supersonic steel right through the cerebrum.

Unfortunately, it appears a lot of people who have nothing to do with the situation will end up dying too. It would be much nicer if a company of Special Republican Guards would just aim their weapons in the "wrong" direction.
