Nobody is asking any Frenchmen to give back their freedom of thought and their freedom to tell us their opinions. The French, however, have been trying to derail US policy. Dissent is one thing , but sabotage is much too much.
This is the real reason that France's image will continue to sink....We feel betrayed. Our brave soldiers went
to war to free France from occupation, many lost their
lives. We think its time for the French to step aside if they dont agree.
But no, France has maneuvered, manipulated and deceived
in their own "crusade" to stop at all costs, USA.

WE FEEL BETRAYED, that feeling of betrayal will not
subside when Chirac is gone. There will be significant
damage to many French companies whose products are simply
passed over in favor of some other very good products,
not as a result of some sort of organized boycott, but just passed over in favor of others who offer good products as
well.

There is a huge difference between expressing their opinion or declining to participate, and being obstructionists. They are categorically attempting to interfere with and impede US policy, not just "speaking their mind." Can't you see that distinction?
