August is when the big kings really show up. The fishing is good all year though. Spring is when the cohos are hot. During the summer it's a mixed bag and the water tends to be calmer. You might hit lakers on the bottom or a 20 pound steelhead on top.

The Captain's Quarters is a nice bar that serves burgers and a good place for lunch. Smith Brothers is a seafood place across from the Inn and they fly in fresh fish from the West Coast daily besides having their own fleet on the lake. There's also a bar by the breakwater with a view of the harbor.
