now i feel stewpad for covering 8 points higher

made my money on other places, but...

its actually hitting some support around here. I think it stops around 13-14 and stays in the range of 13-17 for a while. 17 is now some solid resistance and they will need continued earnings growth (which will be suspect in this environment) to get above 17.

there's always next week

I've lost several thousand on my recent call option purchases and I am now only up 15% from my average purchase price of the stock itself over the past few years. However, when I add in my other option trades I made when I felt Overture was over- or under-valued, I have netted about 45% in three years. Not bad for a market that has declined during the same period.

Yes, I STILL feel Overture is undervalued. They are not acquiring these search engines without reason. It may dilute their earnings in the short-run, but they are buying them because they know that by fully integrating their paid listings into the existing user bases these engines already have, they will be creating a highly profitable model. I think Overture is getting sick of splitting their revenues with their partners... by acquiring their partners they no longer have to - everything is kept in-house!

I am leveraging up even higher. I just purchased 50 May 20 calls. When investors realize why Overture is making these acquisitions, there will be a rebound.
