Until now trading pennies was not that interesting.. Risk as well as prohibitive commission.. But if you consider that your break even point (buy and sell) on each share could be as low as .015 and the fact that there are many companies out there with strong enough balance sheet but collapsed share prices that if the cost of transaction was reasonable, these are the ones that will provide huge % gainers and beauty of it is now is that transaction costs are immaterial..

Catching up on my SI Subjectmarks I saw your query on Ameritrade. I've been using them as my main broker for about six months and am very satisfied. The unlimited share commission deal has really saved me bucks vs. Schwab. I always use limit orders and occasionally have had to pay double commissions in low volume stocks, but my total comm. still winds up being pretty cheap.
