It seems the new BoD member has ties to other industries as well:

Here's an article entitled "Who Are The 50 Most Powerful People In Sport?" from 3/27/2000

32: Robert Kraft, ceo, New England Patriots

The man who helped engineer the defection of Martina Navratilova from Czechoslovakia is now the owner of the Patriots and chairs the NFL's powerful finance committee. He also played a major role in the founding of Major League Soccer and is an investor in the ambitious international football website, goalnetwork.com, set up by the 1994 World Cup organiser Alan Rothenberg.

Almost two years later, goalnetwork.com is nothing but a memory.

Hopefully, not all of Rothenberg's computer industry related efforts will fall flat.
