Right. It's the Chinese version of "Bearing the White Man's Burden". To their colonizers, Tibetans and Sioux were uneducated savages, with a culture so backward, the only thing to do with it, is to destroy it. If the savages will peacefully allow their culture to be replaced, then they will be left alone. If they protest, then the killing begins, and continues till they stop protesting.

I expect you can't see that this analogy also applies to the Israeli-Arab relationship. The splinter in the other guy's eye is so clear, but the log in your own eye........
