You are, of course, completely ignoring the fact that Dr. Jacobs almost certainly put in much of the initial risk capital and most of the $1B is stock from that initial investment.

Lol. I am not "of course" ignoring anything. Let me please remind you of how this issue came about.

1. Maurice claimed he was keeping a close eye on how much the top execs were earnings in stock options. That was always right out there in the open and for years I've had an eye on the vast wealth earned by those who invented QUALCOMM, paid in stock options, to ensure that they weren't taking so much that the shareholders would earn little.

2. I then asked Maurice to tell me how much they had earned in stock options and Maurice answered that Jacobs has about $1 billion in value, which came from QUALCOMM. Whether it was via salary or stock options is irrelevant.

So if you have a problem with me using the billion dollar figure as stock option compensation for Jacobs in my post, take it up with Maurice---who claimed to have been keeping a close eye on this issue. Could it be that Maurice wasn't keeping as close an eye on this issue as his original post suggeted?

Regards, Huey
