the fine print (so far) says it was because of cost cutting (read layoffs), not due to increased business.

I LOVE CARLY and THE Nert Profit INCREASE !!

In addition to kumar's message, this is actually a net profit decline on a per share basis. And shrinking revenues.

The interesting comparison would be to Dell's, IBM's, Sun's, etc. recent YOY quarterly comparisons.
