And in many of these cases their thinking was that if you freed the slaves, the slaves would not be able to survive in society. It was not necessarily an accurate view. It was not a morally correct view. But it came of a generally paternalistic view. The Founders were clearly in the hunt for a way to end slavery and tried several times to do it. They were generations ahead of their times and because of them and the millions of Christians in America, slavery ended. Ni dass a fact.
