Yes, They seldom interevene.
There is no doubt of the PPT.
It have been openly discussed at several FOMC meetings, both stocks and bonds.

That said, I doubt they intervene very often. So if they do not intervene often you should not have too much fear of them. Most of what is attributed to the PPT is normal market actions.

But when you have horrid news being bought from the get go, with no plunge whatsoever I think they could be playing a role. Around FOMC meetings I believe they have stepped in. Thy do not want rate cuts to get sold. They did not want the SOTU to get sold.

I believe they might have stepped in in those circumstances.

My guess 4-6 times since November perhaps.
A believable range to me would be 2-10. (1-3 times a month)
Even though you know the "power" as long as they are not intervening daily you can trade around it.
