Have you ever visited a casino? If you have you went there knowing full well that the odds of your success were stacked against you, you still walked through the door and placed your money on the table. You played a game with the understanding that the probability of success was not in your favor. If I short the market and believe that the PPT will ultimately stop the market slide am I not behaving in a similar matter where I recognized that my probability of success is diminished?

Do I not also believe that the casino doesn't always win and although the odds are against me don't I still play because I want to believe that I can in certain cases win myself?
