Facts ain't important to some. Only bias is, and 'see what I see' attitudes..sometimes without even stepping out and/or trying a new language

regrettably all this seems as a sort of a slowing down of globalization that has taken thousands of years..where folks go back to what they are most comfortable with..themselves and their kind.

Or rather..uncomfortable and hence the need to assert xx is right and yy is wrong. This is happening all over the world.

nope. nothing aint' important at all

anyway rest my case

What absolute bunk mongo. Kennedy took the first step to place American combat forces on the ground. To that point all forces were advisory and/or Special Forces (the latter largely introduced by Kennedy) capacity. No one forced him to do that. And no one forced him to effect Diem's overthrow and murder.

Johnson virtually ran the war during his administration. He also stepped up the war with the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. A resolution springing from largely contrived issues.

You can play games in your head if you want to but that war didn't belong to the Republicans any more than it did to the Democrats. To say differently plants your head squarely in the ground and exposes your @ss.

P.S. I don't need your URL's, I was there while it was happening.
