Oh, what a fantasy life you live!

Bush hired a Republican-oriented economics analysis firm to run the numbers for his tax proposal (which he officially included in his proposal).

The firm was also instructed to use the very latest Republican-backed 'smoke and mirrors' dynamic scoring models to give his proposal the very best chance to show a bottomline benefit.

Then, when it came time to report the official results, he cherry picks the paragraph that says it will produce job growth (while down-playing the very next paragraph which said that unless he made massive spending cuts, all the gains would evaporate and jobs would be lost... and the deficit would explode, and the country would be worse off in the long-run.)

Curiously enough, the economic analysis agreed generally with what Greenspan said the effect would be... lending it further credence.

Oh, what games these politicians play!

Can't even keep their lies straight.
