You're heading for Paris? If so, make sure your semester ends in April......no better place in the world in April except for maybe Prague. I wish I were going. Nah, I was kidding. Just taking French 'cause I enjoy taking languages (Latin, Spanish, Hebrew, all under my belt already). Working on Russian now as well (so I can get my Bolshevik card and become a true liberal). You sound like a friend of mine. She speaks French, Spanish, Italian and Russian.....and then learned Portuguese on the train from Warsaw to Lisbon. Okay, so it wasn't an express......she still had the language down pretty cold by the time she hit Lisbon. And what she didn't learn in Lisbon, she finished in Rio [as in de Janeiro]. Meanwhile, when I was in Paris, trying to get directions in French from some guy, I was asked to pose my question in English because he said I was ruining the French language. I think it was the start of their current hatred of all things American. <g> ted
