Whole-heartedly agreed. Some early morning pre-coffee humour going on there. Saddam looked even more formidable in the first round of this, 12 years ago. Knowing the 4-1/2 day lunch he was served, I'm sure he's got an exit plan in the sleeve. Not that Dan is going to get it out of him, though. He's not called "Rather-not" for nothing. <gg>

I hope when the whole tape is aired Rather looks better.

Rather is 70 now, will be 71 in October, and he hasn't aged well, like Mike Wallace, who is 85. They must be dying to get him off the news, but it is tough if he does not want to go. The age discrimination laws, plus CBS's PC, preclude forcing him off. Too bad, That was my news program back in the 70's. They need to go to him, and say, "Hey, the ratings are down, and we have to make a change."

I just heard that MSNBC canned Donahue.
