LP45, then you should be screaming bloody murder Bush is bribing Turkey with 25billions of our tax dollars. You should be going beserk that even though Enron didn't pay any taxes four out of five years just before they ate it, Bush still proposed to give them half a billion in tax incentives back in 2001. You should be covering your ears and joining in the Edvard Munch silent scream over aid we give to countries that hate us. The fact you would rather do the former with tax dollars than feed children in this country says it all for the hell-bent republicans who are the first to opportune themselves of every form of govt welfare.

Making me buy lunch for children that aren't mine is taxpayer abuse.

Just out of curiosity, do you feel the same way about taxes that go toward education?

LPS5 - Your selfish group would allow people to go
hungry, while cutting taxes for the rich.
News for you - the majority of people in this country will
not let this happen. They will wake up, and throw out
the selfish and greedy who only want to line their own
pockets.

You live in the society, and you benefit from being here.
We will not allow people to go hungry here.

It is not socialism to help people.

The right always throws out the term socialism. Do you know
what it means? It means the govt. owns the means of production, i.e. all of the companies in the nation.

No North American or European country is currently
"Socialist". You can be a capitalist, and still have
a heart (and soul) - although the current Repubs have
largely been taken over by a group of people who seem
to have neither - which is why I stopped voting Republican.

I hope you reflect on your own selfishness in your post, and wake up. As someone else said, they are approving $ 15-30 billion for Turkey for this war, and you would deny
a few billion a year to feed many poor US children? That
is amazing...
