Wise up.<< William, wouldn't you be amenable to the US actually trying to assist in developing sensible policies wrt environmental improvements? Any global plan may well end up costing us "more" -- we use 25% of the world's power and generate 25% of the annual global CO2, and we are of course the wealthiest country. So where is the problem in taking a leadership role on air quality? If every country continues to "operate in its self interest wrt environmental policies", guess who loses? We do. It may very well be in our interest to bring the rest of the world along on a better pathway. That means sharing clean air/water technology, etc. I know this a green and perhaps liberal viewpoint, but the jobs created will be filled by everyone.
