But there are disagreements where it is simply not possible to be "wrong."

Is it wrong to be a vegetarian? Or to eat meat? A lot of vegetarians think it's wrong to eat meat, and a lot of meat-eaters think it's not. How can that argument be resolved?

Is it wrong to be a Christian? Or a Jew? Maybe some Muslims think so, but in this country they have to simply agree to disagree.

How about, is it wrong to be a liberal, or wrong to be a Democrat? Or is it wrong to be a conservative, or a Republican?

By the way, plenty of folks on the left will root against the US so they can be right.

I don't know of a single person that fits that. No doubt, there are one or two, but hardly enough to say "folks on the left." You started out to make a balanced comment, Mike, which sounds good, but that line doesn't fit.
