maybe true but the problem is, that the fiscal side of the republican platform just naturally attracts a set of agnostic folks. Its supposed to be a low tax, low intrusion platform on the monetary side. So all of the sudden here comes this right wing group that has issues with things that the low tax crowd never really thought about before... gay rights for example, whether gays can be teachers, all this personal regulatory stuff which is counter to the non-intrusive fiscal policy.
