I will try and which a friend of mine suggested is diabling PC-cillin and see if this speeds up my machine My machine came with PC-cillin and got terribly slow in a hurry. I got rid of it and started using McAfee a couple of years ago. World of difference. Perhaps it was just the way it came configured, but PC-cillin was a real load. Someone else besides me probably knows a lot more about this, but I got a copy of Motherboard Monitor long ago, and run it now and then. It was easily configured by telling it which MB I have. It monitors fans, temperatures, and voltages, any of which could be causing problems. I've lost a couple of power supplies over the years. Reminds me I should go buy one to put on my shelf just in case. mbm.livewiredev.com
