After 9/11, Bush has been faced with some of the toughest decisions any US President has had to make. One thing that hasn't changed is that the rest of us are free to sit back & second guess, spin, contrive & otherwise conjure up all manner of scenarios........ pro or con......... playing any angle we wish........ picking & choosing the set of facts (real, contrived, perceived, etc.) that our scenario will be created with. President Bush doesn't have that luxury.

Folks can choose to create their 'catch 22' version of events with little if any of the critical information that is readily available to the President. They are free to choose to ignore certain critically important matters as they spin their yarn. President Bush has no choice but to consider all important facts & issues as he moves forward. Even so-called experts can make compelling stories using their own set of data, real or imagined, depending on their agenda.

I don't think for one second that the war on terrorism & dealing with rouge states that sponsor, harbor, support & supply terrorism globally is going to go smoothly 100% of the time. There will be plenty of opportunity for nay sayers to point fingers & claim they saw it coming. There will be & has been plenty of opportunity to spin all manner of conspiracy theories.

Considering the profound complexity of issues that must be considered, I don't doubt that any 'Monday morning QB' could create a number of "Damned if you do, and damned if you don't" traps. No doubt one or more of them could come to pass. I wonder if anyone will remember all of the ones that didn't when they point to the one or two that do. I seriously doubt those with agendas point this out.

Until proven otherwise (that he is not acting in the best interests of the USA & its' citizens, etc.), I will support this president & pray that he makes the best overall decisions that, in the end, protects the citizens of this country. In the mean time, I am also grateful that I can personally witness the freedom we have here to dissent, attack, slander & malign.

Too bad folks in Iraq can't do so as well without facing a fate worse than death before they are indeed slaughtered. I wonder what they would say if they saw some of the stuff going on here in the good 'ole US of A.
