"I do not believe that Preterism is false doctrine. " Of course you don't Brian, but that is beside the point. Preterism, although makes some interesting observations, nevertheless leads to conclusions that are obviously at odds with reality and ends up denying essential Christian doctrines. The physical resurrection of the body of Christ, and His subsequent physical return to this planet to rule and to reign is something that Christians everywhere have always believed. The timing of Christ's return has always been an open question, but not the bodily resurrection. John 2: 18Then the Jews demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?" 19Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." 20The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" 21But the temple he had spoken of was his body. John 20: 24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." 26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." 28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Brian, Stop doubting and believe.
