What about the thousands of human beings America is about to slaughter?

The U.S. wasn't very concerned about those Iraqi citizens who were being tortured and killed by Saddam back in the 1980s when he was our friend and ally. We stood by and said nothing when he gassed the Kurds and now we hold him accountable for it.

I'm not trying to beat up on my own country. But, lets call a spade a spade and understand the reality of the situation. The U.S. has a long history of supporting brutal dictators and regimes like Saddam Huessein.

People need to look at the big picture. The U.S. is interested in making money any way that it can. Often, that means dealing with and supporting (even installing) brutal client-regimes in the developing world. That is how the world really works. Yeah, we do some really good things for the world and give a lot of humanitarian assistence and even send our military in on humanitarian efforts from time to time. But, our first priority is business. And business and good things like human rights don't always mix well. Human rights almost always loses when there is money to be made.
