Wars sap our economy and weaken us. Ironically wars weaken us. The only ones that are smart to fight are those where we are threatened, where there is an obvious case for war and we have a plethora of allies, and where the war pays for itself (such as liberating Kuwait). Iraq is very questionable on all three counts, and it has ALREADY hurt our economy immensely. The true cost may be a trillion ucks by the time Bush gets through with this, if you factor in energy prices and stock market losses. Not to mention damaged alliances and less cooperation on the War On Terroro, which is the REAL war we need to concentrate on. Every CIA and Special Forces asset commited to Iraq means less that could work on terrorists. We dont have that many of those assets and already they are spread too thin.
