>>If Bush colonizes Iraq I will join you in the streets.<<

Well, you're a Canadian, so you can't vote in US elections, but I promise you that the place to make a difference is not the streets, but the poll booth.

Did you ever read Tom Wolfe's essay, Mau-mauing the Flack-catchers?

I recommend it highly. Protest has become a profession in this day and age, has been for decades. A cynical profession, practiced by cynical people.

The belief that "taking it to the streets" is effective rests, not on the number of professional and semi-pro protestors, but the number of real Joe'n'Jill SixPacks who are outraged.

It's not hard to tell the difference.

Right now, Joe'n'Jill SixPack love Dubya. And they don't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut for International ANSWER, or any Euro socialist who ever walked the face of the earth.
