I've never said he didn't have weapons. I've always said he didn't use them on us, and he supports terror far less than other governments in the region. He is a spent force.

We said tut tut when he used WMD's against the Iranians and the Kurds- but we kept helping him anyway. NOW you want to be worried about them? You can play what if Saddam...if you want. But there are real threats out there that you do not need to play what if about. Al Qaeda, for example, is a real threat, and has really done something. Now they aren't easy to catch, like big fat sitting duck Iraq, but catching them is a lot more important- and it would be nice to have allies who enthusiastically want to help us catch them (and burning up our good will with the Iraqi problem seems really stupid to me).

I don't know what it matters if Saddam has weapons. He hasn't used them on us, nor is he likely to. Nor is he likely to use them on anyone else. There are terrorists who will likely attack us again- but they'll probably be Saudis again.

And so I say, it's very easy to call someone with a different POV a traitor, but it doesn't make you look very bright to do it.
