JEDDAH, 27 February 2003 — The Makkah governorate reaffirmed its determination to Saudize all jobs at gold and jewelry shops by the new Hijrah year (March 4), and warned defaulters that they will be punished. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hazza, secretary-general of Prince Abdul Aziz Project for Training & Employment, said more than 50 percent of jobs at gold and jewelry shops in the Makkah region had already been Saudized.
