What are you smoking that you advocate giving Saddam a nuclear weapon?

Obviously nothing as "organic" as what's in your pipe... Nothing in my comment suggested giving Saddam a nuke.. It was a statement that SHOULD HE OBTAIN ONE, such and such would likely be the result...

Now that Iraq is a starving, broken country

Which is how Saddam came up with the scratch to build over a dozen incredibly luxurious palaces around Iraq, right??

with one million people having died as a direct result of the first Gulf war (including 500,000 children) you want to demonize it to garner support for a new massacre which may cause additional 500,000 casualties (UN estimates).

Actually, I want to lift those sanctions... Just as soon as Saddam and his Baathist party are out of power.

But apparently people like yourself, France, and Germany are quite content to permit them to continue so those Iraqi children can continue to die...

They claim that 1 in 5 Iraqi children fail to survive through the age of 5.. That is a DIRECT RESULT OF THE UN's FAILURE TO FORCE SADDAM TO COMPLY so that those sanctions can be lifted..

Yet, the peaceniks want to continue those sanctions, possibly for years, as they continue this desperate and delusional inspection process with an uncooperative and confrontational totalitarian regime.

And those children wouldn't be starving had Saddam not redirected the "oil for food" resources to his military and cronies...

Are you willing to take the blame Just Observing..?? or is it that, as your handle seems to indicate, you could care less about doing anything.. you just like to watch and complain about what EVERYONE ELSE is doing??

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem...

For years the UN has been part of the problem.. They've permitted the circumstances to exist where Iraqi's have suffered because of some stupid belief that a dictator deserves to be labeled "sovereign".

It can barely survive let alone develop nuclear weapons.

Oh yeah?? Well they sure ONE HELL OF A GREAT JOB!!! They were only MONTHS away from a nuclear device before being defeated in Kuwait.. This from UN INSPECTORS themselves.

North Korea has a FAR LOWER GDP than Iraq ($21 Billion vs Iraq'a $59 Billion; price parity)...

cia.gov
cia.gov

Yet, Pyongyang apparently has produced not only long-range 3 stage rockets, but also nuclear devices to mount upon them..

So much for your naive logic that Saddam is "too poor" to obtain one.. After all, how much do you think N. Korea would charge him for a couple??

..could cause $100 Trillion in

Typo... I meant "billion".

All we have to fear is fear itself.

No.. what we have to fear are clue-less "chamberlains" like yourself making foreign policy for the United States..
