Just playing Devil's Advocate, but what if that dude's got $350,000 in debt and his business is losing money hand over fist... When you're defending your family [your country], the debt, the current deficit, they really don't matter. You may not pay other bills, but you do what is necessary. Indisputably the most important function of our government is the national defense. And now, the liberals tell us we can't afford it? I don't think so. If we can't afford something, I would argue it is the horrible farm bill giveaway, large chunks of DHS, or one of a million other things. All that said, the deficits we're facing are not material. It really isn't a lot of money when compared with our GNP.
