You know as well as I do that it's not that simple. I was taught to read at 2 years old, and I'm MUCH better off in life for it. I'm really lucky that my mother was able to afford to stay home with me.

In life, some people are lucky, others make their luck, and still others have no luck at all. We can't solve that problem by standing back and throwing money.
