Dear Gold: You are absolutely correct. I used to be engaged to a Chinese girl and hung out a lot with the Chinese. One thing I learned is they are VERY PATIENT, much more so then we are. They think in terms of generations not years. They also are PARANOID about their borders, which is the main reason they entered the Korean conflict. I do believe they are pretty honest, in fact I read once that China was the ONLY country that ever paid off its WWII debts to USA. I think the main reason they are hesitant to get involved in N. Korea is they fear a refugee crisis on THEIR border. However, when push comes to shove, if we stand resolute, they will have NO CHOICE but to intervene with NK as they wont be able to abide a nuclear Korea. While they APPEAR to be allies, truth is the Koreans and the Chinese have fought each other for 1,000's of years. jdn
