07:20 ET Investors avoid oil co's despite rising crude - WSJ : The Wall Street Journal's "Heard on the Street" column says that investors are shunning oil stocks (such as BP, CVX, and XOM) based on the conventional wisdom that Gulf War history may repeat itself: the U.S. attacks Iraq, oil prices collapse, the stock mkt soars, and oil stocks lag far behind; however, govt data indicates oil may stay at $30/barrel this year, analysts don't expect Venezuela to get back to full production anytime soon, and demand has stayed strong.
