10:01 ET New Home Sales weaker than expected : New Home Sales fell 15.1% in January to a 914K rate, well below the 1050K consensus. It would be a mistake to make too much of this one decline - new home sales numbers are extremely volatile, and the much larger existing home sales survey revealed surprising strength in January. The truth is probably in between - home sales are relatively flat, but at a near-record pace.
