What this is really about, and let's be frank about it, is two things. 1. Germany, France, and Russia have lucrative contacts and contracts with Iraq...

I won't argue that that's not a factor. I would, however, like to point out how that charge sounds. It sound just like the charge being made by war opponents that Bush is simply after Iraq's oil on behalf of his oil industry buddies.

People always think that their side is standing for grand principles while dismissing the other side as, well, up to no good. In reality, there's usually some nobility and some of the other stuff on both sides. Seeing only the white hats on one's own side and the black hats on the other is one manifestation of the subject we're discussing--bigotry.
