I know - I'm with you.

The PC crash in the 80s (which really was quite severe btw, nobody remembers it, I was at Berkeley at the time and you couldn't get a tech job to save your life)... included failures of all these flaky PC companies like amiga, commodore etc. After the retrenching period the real money making set in. Microsoft was one of the few tech IPOs in the fallout, we have one like that now too- Google. Anyway I am hoping that yahoo and friends can deliver phase II of growth just like Apple/Msft did in the late 80s early 90s. Right now its only hoping. But thats the usual pattern.
